A public information open house for the Cobb County Department of Transportation (CCDOT) Windy Hill Road – Terrell Mill Road Connector project will take place Nov. 15, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brumby Elementary School in Marietta. Citizens are encouraged to attend to share comments and concerns. CCDOT representatives will be present to discuss the project and answer questions, but there will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to record public comments.
The proposed Windy Hill Road – Terrell Mill Road Connector project includes the construction of a 0.8-mile, four-lane connecting road from the intersection of Spectrum Circle/Interstate North Parkway and Windy Hill Road to the current Bentley Road and Terrell Mill Road intersection. The purpose of this project is to provide congestion relief and a connection to the future I-75 Northwest Corridor Managed Lanes entrance at Terrell Mill. With the addition of a landscaped median, multi-use trail, sidewalk and lighting, the road also will be a new travel option that connects to the Bob Callan Trail System.
Written statements concerning this project will be accepted until Oct. 27, 2016. Please submit comments to Karyn Matthews, Cobb County Department of Transportation, 1890 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008-4014.
